Hello Colorado Voters,
Did you know? I am a first generation American on my father’s side. My father immigrated from Italy with his two siblings and his mother to find a better life in the United States.
He taught me the importance of work, labor, education, and he was a strong union member his entire career. He was able to earn his GED in his fifties while working full-time as a cabinet maker/carpenter. I was also a member of the teachers’ union in JeffCo while I was a teacher at Wheat Ridge High School (WRHS) teaching Special Education, English and Career Exploration classes.
President John F. Kennedy once said, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country”, and challenged every American to contribute in some way to the public good.
Working for the public good is, and always has been, my guiding principle.
Gerald “Jerry” DiTullio, M.B.A, M.Ed.
